The programme for the EYE2018 has been published
The first draft of the programme for the 2018 European Youth Event has been published. Several interesting activities have been organised such as discussions on European security and start-ups, and workshops on sex education and how to become a citizen journalist.
The programme can be found here! The event will take place on the 1st and 2nd of June 2018.
Participate in the 2018 Graduate competition
Registration has opened for participation in the graduate competition, to fill over 100 new graduate administrator roles within the European Union (EU) institutions. The EU is looking for talented graduates and young professionals with a good skill set, drive and excellent motivation.

A new webpage for the European Education Area
The European Commission has created a webpage to give a clear idea to the public on how it is working towards the European Education Area. On this website, the initiatives such as A Digital Education Action Plan are discussed, as well as the proposal for a Council Recommendation.

Mark the date for the official opening ceremony of the 2018 European Year of Cultural Heritage in Cyprus
Join the opening of the European Year of Cultural Heritage for the Republic of Cyprus in Nicosia! The festive opening will take place on the 19th of April and will start at 19:00. The ceremony will take place at the famous Kasteliotissa Medieval Hall and will include speeches, an artistic programme, a cocktail reception, and an award ceremony for various actions promoting the European Year of Cultural Heritage.

Dutch CEOs worried about soft and digital skills of employees
A recent survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers concluded that the vast majority of the respondent CEOs felt their employees’ digital and soft skills need improving in this digital age. With the large advancements in technology, it is notable that the CEOs not only see the opportunity for lifelong learning in the field of digital competences but also in the soft skills area.

Even though the application has been open for almost a month now, it is worth reminding you to compete in the #SaferInternet4EU Awards! The awards are divided in three different categories; a best practice competition for organisations, teachers, and for youth.

New Eurobarometer on sport and physical activity results
The latest Eurobarometer survey on sports and physical activity reveals that almost half of Europeans never exercise or play sports! To change this, Erasmus+ proposed some cool ideas and activities to move and enjoy yourself whilst doing physical activity! For instance, create a free dance on Fridays!

Registration is open for the EAEA YST 2018
The European Association for the Education of Adults will hold their annual Younger Staff Training of 2018 and have just opened registrations! The training will be held in Brussels on 24 – 28 September 2018. A preliminary programme is already available.
