1. Empowerment through Entrepreneurship

Short Description: Within Europe, the numbers of refugees and migrants are constantly growing. The optimum outcome for both the refugees themselves and the host societies is the employment of these people. The refugee and migrant women face more obstacles than their fellow men, and therefore this project is aimed for them. We plan on educating the youth workers  about the concept of entrepreneurship, business plan as well as equipping them with entrepreneurial skills that they could transfer to he refugee and migrant women.

The basic objectives of the project are firstly, to provide the youth workers with basic concepts of entrepreneurship and sustainable business solutions, and secondly, to promote positive attitudes in terms of female entrepreneurship. We hope to contribute in creation of more inclusive European society.

Desired profile of the partners:The desired partner countries preferably have a significant numbers of refugees and migrants, so they can address the issue in their home country and put the skills and knowledge acquired throughout the project to the best possible use. We seek for partners who:

  • Work closely with refugees and/or migrant youth, or whose work indirectly is connected to refugees and/or migrants;
  • Recognize the needs addressed by this project and commit to addressing them: committing to investing time and effort in our aim to develop the youth workers’ knowledge and skills in terms of entrepreneurship, helping them to improve their work with the refugee youth;
  • Are currently working with youth workers, volunteers or NGO staff who can benefit from participating in this project, and who can help the participants in creating the further outcomes and follow-ups of the training course (workshops, international projects, dissemination materials etc.);
  • Come from different regions of the EU and have wide network of partner organizations to maximize the dissemination results

No. of participants : 3 per each partner

2. Building Bridges with Words

Short DescriptionEven though the European project was first and foremost created to ensure a long-lasting peace on this continent that has been war-torn for centuries, the main reason for the existence of the EU seems to be forgotten from the minds of contemporary citizens as the societies become increasingly divided and populist politicians gain foothold across Europe. Therefore, we address this issue with this project that aims to equip the youth workers with basic knowledge on peacebuilding, and how to build and promote peace through digital storytelling. Storytelling has been an essential part of humanity’s history, and some of the most compelling stories have echoed down the centuries and can have a profound impact on humans. In the modern environment, the use of digital means is arguably very effective way of telling a story. Through digital storytelling, we can build and promote the most essential value of them all: peace. In addition, the youth workers get the possibility to improve their digital skills.

Desired profile of the partners:

We seek for partners who:

  • Work/have experience in the area of peace building or digital storytelling;
  • Recognize the needs addressed by this project and commit to addressing them: committing to investing time and effort in our aim to develop the youth workers’ skills and competencies in peace building and digital storytelling to improve their work with youngsters;
  • Are currently working with youth workers, volunteers or NGO staff who can benefit from participating in this project, and who can help the participants in creating the further outcomes and follow-ups of the training course (workshops, international projects, dissemination materials etc.);
  • Come from different regions of the EU and have wide network of partner organizations to maximize the dissemination results.

The priority will be given to organisations from the active and frozen conflict areas.

No. of participants: 3 per each partner

3. ALL INCLUSIVE

Short DescriptionThe problem of social exclusion is rather serious and far-reaching. According to a study conducted by the European Commission, one third of young people in the European Union face the risk of social exclusion (European Commission, 2017).   There are multiple grounds for social exclusion. The main causes of social exclusion according to the European Commission are social inequalities leading to a lack of access to quality education and training leading to a lack of employability (European Commission, 2017). The further conclusion of the research is that youth work is a powerful tool to combat social exclusion among the youth so that every youngster in the European Union has equal opportunities. Therefore, this project aims to empower youth workers with the capacity to have a thorough understanding of social exclusion of people from disadvantage groups: LGBT; refugees, migrants and minorities; people with disabilities, etc. and offer them educational opportunities.

Desired profile of the partners:

We seek for partners who:

  • Work with people from disadvantaged background who that face a high risk of  social exclusion;
  • Recognize the needs addressed by this project and commit to addressing them: committing to investing time and effort in our aim to develop the youth workers’ knowledge and skills helping them to improve their work with the youth from disadvantaged background
  • Are currently working with youth workers, volunteers or NGO staff who can benefit from participating in this project, and who can help the participants in creating the further outcomes and follow-ups of the training course (workshops, international projects, dissemination materials etc.);
  • Come from different regions of the EU and have wide network of partner organizations to maximize the dissemination results

No. of participants: 3 per each partner

4. (dis)ADVANTAGED

Short Description:  The withdrawal of young people from rural areas has disastrous consequences for the regions. According to Eurostat, just one quarter of the European population lives in rural areas (Eurostat, 2017). Moreover, at least half of the citizens in rural areas of the Member States that joined the European Union have the risk of living under the poverty line (Eurostat, 2017). The lack of employment and risk of poverty has rather strong consequences including social exclusion. Thus the main aim of the project is to increase the entrepreneurial activities in rural areas throughout Europe focusing on sustainability.

Desired profile of the partners:

We seek for partners who:

  • Work with the youth from rural areas;
  • Have experience in the area of entrepreneurship
  • Recognize the needs addressed by this project and commit to addressing them: committing to investing time and effort in our aim to develop the youth workers’ skills and competencies in entrepreneurship to improve their work with youngsters;
  • Are currently working with youth workers, volunteers or NGO staff who can benefit from participating in this project, and who can help the participants in creating the further outcomes and follow-ups of the training course (workshops, international projects, dissemination materials etc.);
  • Come from different regions of the EU and have wide network of partner organizations to maximize the dissemination results.

No. of participants: 3 per each partner
