PROJECTS

1) “CULTURE WITHOUT BARRIERS: AI-DRIVEN ACCESSIBILITY FOR THE ARTS” (Adult education)

Short project description:  In today’s Europe, many individuals with disabilities continue to face significant barriers to accessing and engaging with cultural activities and art. The lack of inclusive solutions in cultural institutions often leads to exclusion, preventing people with visual and hearing impairments from fully participating in cultural life. The Culture Without Barriers: AI-Driven Accessibility for the Arts project aims to bridge this gap by integrating cutting-edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools to enhance the accessibility of cultural events, performances, and artistic expression. By utilizing AI technologies, the project will support the creation of adaptive tools, such as automatic audio descriptions, AI-powered subtitles, and other innovative accessibility features for the deaf and blind communities.

Partners: We are looking for experienced partners from Europe – cultural associations and networks, Technology and Research centres, Accessibility-focused NGOs and advocacy groups, Public authorities and policymakers, etc. (except Greece and France)

2) “THE FUTURE STARTS TODAY” (Adult education)

Short project description:  The “The Future Starts Today” project is aimed at developing and extending competencies for adult educators and staff who support adults in gaining sustainability skills, attitudes and knowledge using the GreenComp framework developed by the European Commission as a base. The end goal is to assist educators and supporting staff in becoming expert designers of innovative learning opportunities and environments to develop sustainability skills and equip their adult learners with knowledge and motivation to act upon those skills – gradually shifting from unsustainable practices and placing the value on the environment on which our future depends.

Partners:  We are looking for adult education centres, research centres,  environmental NGOs, Local Authorities and municipalities, etc. working with adults in the area of sustainability, preferably in rural areas (except Greece and Spain).

3) CYBERSAVVY: NETWORK OF CYBER SECURITY AWARENESS SPECIALISTS (Adult education)

Short project description: Recognising this urgent need, the project aims to address the gap in cybersecurity specialists and cybersecurity knowledge among adults, particularly focusing on areas of phishing and social engineering. Through the development of targeted training offers, the project will aim to create a network of cyber security awareness specialists, who can raise awareness and empower adults with the tools and knowledge they need to navigate the digital landscape safely and securely, ultimately improving their overall digital literacy and resilience against cyber-attacks. The project will also explore the potential advantages of implementing micro-credentials in adult education, to attract more professionals to cybersecurity fields.

Partners:  Cybersecurity organisations & networks, adult education providers, policymakers, local authorities and municipalities.

4) MIND matters (in the field of youth)

Short project description: By harnessing the power of artistic expression—such as music, storytelling, drama, and digital art—alongside peer-led activities, Mind Matters encourages open dialogue around mental health, reduces stigma, and empowers young people to share coping strategies. Through local and digital hubs, the project will provide a safe space for youth to co-create initiatives, access mental health resources, and develop enduring support networks. The ultimate goal is to foster resilience, self-awareness, and lasting well-being among European youth.

Partners: We are looking for experienced youth organisations from Europe with experience on this specific topic, Policy makers, Local Authorities and municipalities.

5)  LIVING HERITAGE: PRESERVING TRADITION, NATURE, AND CONNECTION (Adult education)

Short project description:  “The  Living Heritage: Preserving Tradition, Nature, and Connection” project seeks to foster collaboration between youth and seniors using the shared exploration of herbs and natural resources as a bridge for learning and connection. By studying how herbs were and are still used today by local communities for medicinal, culinary, and environmental purposes, participants will not only gain practical knowledge but also cultivate a deeper appreciation for the cultural traditions and wisdom held by older generations. The project will also incorporate digital skills development to ensure the preservation and dissemination of this knowledge for future generations.

Partners:  We are looking for adult education centres, research centres,  environmental NGOs, local authorities and municipalities, etc.

6) HEALING HANDS: INNOVATIVE SUPPORT FOR MIGRANT MENTAL HEALTH (Adult education)

Short project description: The Healing Hands: Innovative Support for Migrant Mental Health project aims to fill this gap by developing a comprehensive training program that introduces diverse approaches to trauma-informed care, promoting emotional resilience and adaptation. The project will combine evidence-based methods, including art therapy, mindfulness, solution-focused approaches, storytelling for behavioural change, and framing techniques, to provide a holistic toolkit for professionals.

Partners: NGOs and Organizations supporting migrants, local authorities and municipalities, educational and training Institutions, psychologists’ associations, etc.
