As a member of this growing network, DOREA is committed to delivering meaningful learning opportunities for educators, youth workers, young people and the general public, building the skills needed to thrive in today’s changing world.

This summer, we’re putting that commitment into action with a series of free, in-person and online learning activities in Limassol, Cyprus and beyond. These events are designed around key themes from our Erasmus+ projects, offering hands-on, practical learning for different target groups.

πŸ’‘SOFT SKILLS FOR YOUTH (workshop series)

Designed for: Young people aged 15–28 (students, NEETs, or youth engaged in non-formal education)
Focus: Life skills for personal development and employability
Methodology: Experiential activities, reflection, group work
Duration: 1.5–2 hours each

Participants will explore how to organise their daily tasks, manage distractions, and build positive routines that reduce stress and improve productivity.

πŸ”Ή July 4, 16:00 – Teamwork Skills
This session introduces the fundamentals of team dynamics, trust-building, and collaborative problem-solving through games and real-life roleplay.

πŸ”Ή July 10, 16:00 – Communication Skills
Through interactive activities, young people will develop verbal and non-verbal communication, active listening, and assertiveness β€” all crucial for future work and personal life.


🎲 June 19, 17:00 – ENTREPRENEURSHIP IN ACTION:Β  EGIDEV Board Game Workshop

Designed for: Educators, VET trainers, youth workers, young people and adults interested in digital entrepreneurship.
Focus: Business idea development, entrepreneurial mindset, and digital economy
Methodology: Educational board game based on real-life scenarios
Duration: 2–3 hours

Participants are invited to engage in a simulated entrepreneurial journey using the EGIDEV board game, which incorporates the EntreComp framework (European Entrepreneurship Competence Framework). The game guides players through stages of launching a digital business – from ideation to financing and teamwork – offering an engaging, risk-free way to learn and apply business concepts.


🌍 July 15, 16:00 – EXPLORING CULTURAL INTELLIGENCE (CQ)

Designed for: Youth workers, teachers, non-formal educators, trainers
Focus: Cross-cultural communication, inclusion, and intercultural competence
Methodology: Group activities, case studies, and toolkit demonstration
Duration: 1.5–2 hours
Spaces: Limited – registration required

This workshop explores the concept of Cultural Intelligence (CQ) – the ability to relate and work effectively across cultures. Participants will be introduced to a practical framework and tools to help foster inclusive environments, address bias, and build empathy in education and youth work. The session will include materials from the Cultural Intelligence Training Programme for Youth Workers from the Cultural Bridges project.

πŸ€– June 23, 17:00 (Cyprus time) – AI for Youth Work: Introduction & Ethics

Designed for: Youth workers, trainers and educators interested in digital innovation
Focus: AI tools in youth work, practical applications, and ethical use
Methodology: Live demonstration, group discussion, Q&A
Duration: 1.5–2 hours

This session provides an accessible entry point into how Artificial Intelligence can be used in the context of youth work and education. Participants will explore real-world examples of AI-powered tools for learning, content creation and outreach. We’ll also open a discussion around ethical issues such as bias, data protection, and the human role in AI-supported youth work.
