DOREA Educational Institute in cooperation with Recovery Coach Ireland (http://www.recoverycoachireland.ie/) organised an Erasmus+ staff mobility training course “English for Educators: Set the Base (Level I)” that took place from 13th till 17th of June in Dublin, Ireland.
The course was successfully delivered by Ms. Denise O’Connor – Recovery Coach Ireland/Dorea. The course itself aimed to give participants a basic knowledge of reading, listening, spoken and written skills in a dynamic and communicative way, through individual, pair and group work and pre-recorded and authentic texts.
During the course week the group of educators from Portugal worked intensively to gain new knowledge and improve their English language skills not only during the training sessions but also during other activities organised by DOREA and Recovery Coach Ireland. Warm welcome dinner was organised on the first day of the training course to allow participants to get to know each other better as well as to exchange experience with the representatives of the Recovery Coach Ireland, thus improve their spoken English skills.
On the last day of the training participants enjoyed beautiful scenery of Ireland’s cost during the excursion to historic Malahide Castle & Gardens followed by a coastal tour of North County Dublin, with a stop in the historic fishing port/village of Howth.
During all the week participants were encouraged and had possibility to communicate with native speakers wherever possible and develop their cultural competence.
