The Culture and Education Committee Approved the Next Generation Erasmus Programme
The new program has stepped up to lift all economic, social, cultural barriers and allow more participants in learning mobility schemes. Moreover, there will be more assistance to participants with fewer opportunities. Examples of the assistance are: language training, administrative support, and e-learning opportunities.

Deadline for VPL Prize 2019 Coming up!!
The deadline for applying for the VPL Prize 2019 is nearing! Sunday 24 February will be the last day to apply for the global prize for validation of prior learning 2019 in Berlin the 7th of March. The candidates will be invited to display their product, policy or procedure in the main hall at the Biennale in Berlin.

Entrepreneurial Education Stimulates Inclusion and the position of Youth on the Labor Market Study Finds
The research has taken place in the United States, where significant differences can be noticed between ethnic and regional backgrounds. In 2017, the Forum for Community Solutions designed and launched the Youth Entrepreneurship Fund. The fund was initiated with the aim to offer youth with various backgrounds opportunities to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and skills that can help them to participate in the economic society. The study has concluded that the skills form a way to connect the youth with the workforce.

Integration Education Fund Hosts Conference Education Northern-Ireland
The Integrated Education Fund hosted a conference on education in Northern Ireland. A wide range of topics were discussed by multiple guests, among others: Baroness May Blood (Integrated Education Fund) (IEF), and Mairead McCafferty (Northern Ireland Commission for Children and Youth (NICCY). Some though statements were made during the conference. Mainly about equality and diversity in the educational system, together with the requested integration of the wellbeing of students in the curriculum.

Finnish Minister of Education and Culture to Hold Seminar on Education and Training Pathways of Youth Workers
On 20th to the 22nd of February the Minister will hold a seminar with 150 stakeholders in youth policy, youth work and formal education of youth workers. The seminar has been inspired by the recommendation on youth work by the Committee of Ministers. The seminar will hold talks on how the agenda can be implemented in Finland.

Prince Harry Visits Youth Organization Streatham Youth and Community Trust
Prince Harry applauds “vital” work of under threat youth centers in the United Kingdom. The youth organization has just launched a project aiming to promote a heathy lifestyle to youth with fewer opportunity. The organization aims to fight social exclusion of the youth by doing activities. Prince Harry mentioned that young people can come there to have “a normal conversation, be it about mental health, their lifestyle, issues at home”. The community is located in a region with one of the highest rates of child poverty in the United Kingdom.

Youth Invited to Meeting Council of ministers Cyprus
President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades invited the youth and youth representatives to discuss multiple issues the Cypriot youth hold to a high regard on Tuesday the 19th of February. The topic discussed went from education to the economy and health. The President has mentioned the importance of the voice of the youth to be heard in society. An excellent example of youth participation.
