Media Education-Al Challenges

Media consumption is a basic ingredient of the public and private life of young people, playing a fundamental role in the construction of their identity and social life. This implies the need to achieve a balance between an approach that aims to protect young people from the media and the approach that seeks to understand the multiple ways in which they adopt and adapt, use and interpret the media in their daily life, preparing them for face with greater awareness and freedom the mediated world in which they live.

The aim of the project is to create a place where youth workers can dialogue, make their own contribution, build paths and references to offer to the community of young people with whom they interface a coherent, organic and uniform proposal on the theme of citizenship education. digital and media literacy.

To make the path proposed by the project more current than ever, it is also the spread of phenomena such as cyber bullying and hate speech, the need for security on the web with reference to the contents exchanged and published via social media. The main objective of this project proposal is to develop the theme of digital citizenship, on the one hand offering tools in the prevention of risky behavior, on another hand, providing youth workers with training that can guarantee employability and mentoring skills towards the component youth addresses.
