Elena Demetriou has studied English Language and Literature and she currently works as an English teacher for the last 4 years. She is greatly interested in photography, volunteerism, Erasmus+ and active youth participation. Her first experience in the fascinating world of volunteerism began in 2011 when she had conducted English workshops to Polish adults as part of her internship in Poland through the international student organisation AIESEC. Since then, she has been participating in a variety of training courses and youth exchanges and she has been supporting non-formal learning through her professional space and through collaboration with various NGOs around Cyprus. She is part of the Youth Ambassadors team of the Cyprus Youth Council responsible for enhancing the promotion of the European Structured Dialogue at a local level.
