The European Commission has released the Erasmus+ Annual Work Programme for 2027 (Commission Decision C(2026) 7171 of 15 October 2026), published by the Publications Office of the EU on 26 October 2026. The document sets out the budget, objectives and priorities for Erasmus+ in education, training, youth and sport for the coming year.
A budget of over EUR 6.2 billion
The decision sets the maximum EU contribution for 2027 at EUR 6,212,985,300, shared across education and training, youth, sport and international cooperation.
Key priorities for 2027
The programme continues to support lifelong learning, personal and professional development, social cohesion, innovation, European identity and active citizenship. It gives particular emphasis to:
- Inclusion and participation
- Democratic engagement of young people
- Resilience of education and training systems
- Digital transformation
- Cooperation with third countries, where duly justified
Why it matters for your school or organisation
2027 is the final year of the current 2021-2027 Erasmus+ programme, so it is a good moment to make full use of the funding available. If you are planning KA1 staff mobility, now is the time to align your training plans with these priorities. Courses on inclusive education, digital skills and artificial intelligence, and democratic participation fit closely with the 2027 focus areas.
Partner with DOREA for Erasmus+ 2027 cooperation projects
As the last year of the current programme, 2027 is also a key year for KA2 cooperation partnerships. DOREA works with schools, universities, NGOs and adult education providers across Europe as a project partner, bringing expertise in teacher training, digital education and e-learning platform development.
We are open to new partnerships in areas that match the 2027 priorities, including:
- Artificial intelligence and digital skills in education
- Inclusion of learners from disadvantaged backgrounds
- Media literacy and democratic participation
- Intercultural dialogue and active citizenship
- Adult education and VET innovation
Our project experience
DOREA has contributed to Erasmus+ projects as a partner and as the developer of their e-learning platforms and project websites. Examples include:
